Firearms in 338 Federal
The cartridge was launched as a joint effort between Federal and Sako. Already, there are three Sako Model 85 rifles available in 338 Federal, and there may be more. Since it is a short-action cartridge, it seems likely that Model 75s will eventually be chambered in this cartridge as well.

I had my 338 Federal rifle custom made, as I wanted it in a left-hand configuration. The folks at Montana Rifleman were happy to build a barreled action for me chambered in this caliber. I ordered a left-hand short action and a 22" barrel with a #3 Sporter contour, both in blued chromy moly. They turned my order around in about three weeks.
